So much to be thankful for

Last week was a little crazy, so I have slacked off in writing what I have been thankful for. I have not forgotten I promise! I think about it everyday, just didn't get around to writing it down. So hope I remember all those things.

#13 Grandma Horsley. I am so grateful for this wonderful Grandma. She is an amazing woman who is always so willing to serve others and help whenever asked. She works hard in whatever church calling she is given and each school year helps do vision screening at many of the schools around town. She is always there for the special occasions, like birthdays, baptisms, baby blessings, weddings etc. This last year she got to celebrate her 80Th birthday. As part of her gift this year, I had everyone in the family give me some reasons why they love her. It was an awesome experience to see how one person has influenced so many.
#14 I am so grateful for my mother. She is such a patient person. As I am raising my girls, I try to think of what my mom did with me. I really don't remember her losing her temper. She was always so good to praise us in anything that we did. She loves her children and grandchildren and has always made a special effort to let us know that we are loved. I really hate living so far away from her, but I know that whenever I need a listening ear, she is only a phone call away.
(this is my favorite picture I have of Mom and Lexi)
#15 My Dad is such a hardworking man. He is always doing something, even when he is not suppose to! :) He has always been a great example to me of hard work and generosity. He has always helped me and others when we have needed it. My favorite thing about Dad, I must say, is watching him with my children. You can truly tell how much he loves and adores them. I am sure if we lived closer that my girls would have him wrapped around their little fingers.
(this is my favorite one of Dad with Danielle)
#16 I am thankful for dandelion puffs. I always loved to pick them and make wishes. I love to see Lexi following in my footsteps.
#17 I am thankful for clothes. I am grateful for how they keep us warm and all of that, but what I love about clothes is the memories they can bring. I love looking through the baby clothes and remembering Lexi and Danielle as they were young babies. Though I tease Johnny about this because they are so beat up, but even some of his ratty t-shirts remind me of some first memories together.
#18 I am thankful for my church calling. I love working with the children, and especially the other 4 women I work with. They are truly amazing women and they really have shown me how much they love the gospel and the children they serve. I only hope that I can be like them someday.
#19 I am grateful for my heritage. I love my ancestors and love learning about their lives and where they came from. Johnny and his family are very proud to be Spanish. The other day Johnny and I were talking about coats or something and he come out wearing his grandpas coat and hat. He totally looks like he would fit right in in Spain.

#20 I am very thankful that Soccer season is over! (at least til March) I am so glad that the team did so well, I am even more grateful to have some time with my husband again.

#21 Lazy Sundays. I am always thankful for Sundays that are quiet at home. I love to come home from church and wear some comfy clothes the rest of the day.

#22 Today I am thankful for the beautiful snow we got. I loved watching it fall last night. I felt like I was in a snow globe! The girls and I enjoyed their first time playing in the snow this afternoon.

That picture of Johnny had me laughing because I thought he was dressed up like a Frenchman! Ha. Nice post with lots to be thankful for. Grandma's and mom's are the best! What would we do without them? I like what you said about trying to think about what your mom would have done, that is a good thought. I wish I had way more patience myself.
