Today I am very grateful for Lexi's nursery teachers. She is always excited to go to nursery every week. Now it did take us a long while until this finally happened, but now it is here. She may not talk to her teachers, but she does love them. Today I asked her what she learned. She talked about coloring cups and food. I looked at her paper and she did color a cup and some food. The sheet was teaching them that when we pray, we say what we are thankful for and one of those things was food. I asked Lexi what we do when we pray, and she said we fold our arms, bow our head and close our eyes.
Now Johnny and I do pray with her at meals and bedtime, but we haven't really gotten to the point where we make her close her eyes, because folding her arms and kneeling at bedtime took awhile to make happen. But I can tell these little things are coming or being reinforced in nursery. Being a nursery leader is oftentimes a thankless job, but I am so grateful for all the teachers that Lexi has had over the last two years.

Oh my goodness, I just posted about Morgan saying his prayers tonight. Those nursery teachers are gems! Morgan was telling us about them learning about Nephi and how he had to build a boat and take his family on it. I agree that nursery can be a thankless job. Thanks for this post Julie, I am going to show my appreciation for them more often.
