We had a great Christmas this year. There is always so much build up and preparation for just one day, but it sure was a fabulous day. I always hate to say goodbye.
Christmas Eve we continued a newer tradition I brought from my family to the Trevino's. We did a gift exchange at my house and we had some yummy pizza. The exchange was great and I think everyone enjoyed their gifts. I thought mine was pretty great, a package of diapers and a gift card to Target. Why diapers?... So I don't have any excuse to use it on that and not myself. I guess Jamin does know me pretty well.

Emery loves horses and ponies so I found this awesome horse purse. I think she liked it

Lexi got a princess dress up set. She loved it and I was quite surprised that she wore it around most of the evening.

I got Krissy a pizza stone and I guess we thought alike because they got Debbi one too!

Grandpa and Grandma with Danielle. My friend made her onesie. It is hard to see it but it is a little tree made from fabric. She is so talented!

Christmas morning I couldn't sleep, so I was up at 7am. Which if you know me well, that is not normal. I waited until 9 for Lexi to get up. I just couldn't wait to see how excited she would be to open her gifts and see what Santa brought her.
Santa had a little theme this year of Princess stuff. She got a Princess Castle and all the the Polly Pocket Princesses. She was in heaven. It took a lot of encouragement to get her to open her other gifts. (I seem to recall the same thing happening last year) It took about 2 hours to get through it all and we had to open a lot of her gifts because she just wasn't interested anymore.

I just love the tongue action!

Danielle got a tummy elephant mat. She will enjoy that a litte better in a few more weeks.

Lexi is in love with fish. She loves to go to the pet store and look at all the fish. I would like to get her a fish tank but I don't want to clean that too. Grandma Debbi bought her this awesome fish lamp. And Lexi wasn't the only one who liked it....

And you gotta have a picture of the aftermath

Later that day we went to Johnny's parents house and enjoyed an Indian Christmas dinner. It was fun to do something different this year. We spendt most the rest of the day playing Guitar Hero and just visiting.

The Trevino men rocking to the Beatles, and the wannabe rocker...

A good friend of Debbi made her the cutest Grandma's house dress up kit. I am sure they will enjoy many hours of playing with this at Grandma's house.

It was a nice and relaxing Christmas and I enjoyed spending it with my girls and Johnny. I have such a wonderful family! Santa couldn't have brought me a present that I would have liked more then just being with them!
And I finally was brave and got a new look. I dyed my hair darker and got a short cut. I really like the color and style but it will take a little getting used too. No more ponytails for me. :(

You guys looked like you had tons of fun. I didn't like to wake up early this year but only because I was too excited to fall asleep. Once I went to sleep it seemed like EmmaLee was there to wake us up with in minutes of me FINALLY going to sleep.
