So after Thanksgiving things started to hit me like a brick wall. I got sick for about a week and a half, then Lexi got it. So we stayed home the whole time and got nothing done. Then when I was feeling better we had a man pass away in my ward so I was super busy trying to make arrangements for the funeral and help serve that day too. It could have been a difficult task but I have so many wonderful
sisters in my ward who volunteered right away. I am so amazed at the love that is shared in our church. Many of the woman didn't know this man or his wife well because they just returned from their mission, but it didn't matter whatsoever. They all were so willing to lend a helping hand especially during the busiest time of year.
So those are a few reasons I am so behind on my posts. So these are a few fun things we have been doing to get ready for Christmas.
Decorating the house and tree. I love seeing little kids put ornaments on the tree. (we had to do a little rearranging afterwards)

I did a little bit of baking and I really wanted to make some
gingerbread houses this year. So I thought lets make it out of
graham crackers because I don't know how to make gingerbread cookies and then to get them so they are the right shape was beyond me. Well lets just say that this was not my best idea. I made the wrong kind of frosting I guess and it just didn't work. Here is our failed attempt

The house didn't work out but I still wanted Lexi to decorate so she made a little road.

She also enjoyed
tasting it!

So the next day the girls and I bought one of the gingerbread house kits. So here is our second attempt...

Our ward Christmas party was last week. Here is Danielle with good
ol' Saint Nick

So the whole day we were talking about seeing
Santa with Lexi and she was so excited until we got a little closer to the front of the line.
This is
lasts years picture of Santa and Lexi

And this is this years

I think it got worse. I don't even know who the girl is, and Johnny thought it would help if he was in it too...but no she would not have that at all!
And after church yesterday I got a picture with my girls. Not great of me and our camera stinks! It is so outdated! I think Santa might be getting me a new one!

And the best two presents under my tree this year!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and A Happy new year!

Tell me you are not talking about Brother Monson. How did I miss this? What happened? That makes me so sad. We loved he and Sister Monson. Ryan just asked me about a week ago when they would have gotten home from their mission. Wow.
