Spring continued

Ummm... I have an 8 yr old now! I seriously cannot believe it and am pouting a little that she is already this big. We had a lego friend party of course. We had popcorn and candy while watching lego friends, cupcakes and played some games. Simple and so fun, my kind of party!

Miss Lexi
  • Loves school and is doing excellent. She likes to rush through things and her teacher says that she is very athletic which is funny because you don't expect from her because she is so quiet and small.
  • Is amazing at anything sport related
  • Likes to walk home super slow with her friend
  • Loves legos and is very creative building towns and buildings.
  • Is becoming a little artist and likes to create things out of paper and strings. She steals my string and likes to make zip lines for her Legos.
  • Still is picky on clothes but we are making some progress towards wearing things with pockets or jean like.
  • Miss independent pretty much sums her up.

More soccer of course.  Danielle doesn't love soccer but she is actually pretty good if she gets over being nervous of being pushed by the other kids. And this spring she scored her very first goal!!!!!

Thumbs up for scoring her goal.
This was the last year together for our rec team. Very sad to not have our soccer family. We have made good friends but I'm excited for Lexi's new adventure in competitive soccer.

I have to laugh because it seems I always have a good picture of her falling down.

Johnny and I team teach in primary right now and this cheeseball is becoming a big distraction in class.

These two of mine would live outside if I would let them.
I bought a selfie stick for Johnny and my upcoming anniversary trip, Danielle and I did some test shots first.
My view for the softball benches
Johnny and I have been married for 10 years now. Our anniversary was spent watching a softball game and some Diary Queen after. Can't really think of a better way to celebrate the big day.
For a few months we have been working hard on losing some weight. I feel so much better and have loved being outside and doing more activities. As a family we hiked badger mountain with some friends and family. It was a great day. I only stopped once with Danielle and that was amazing to me compared to the last time where I had to stop about 10 times!

 Some more softball pictures

I got to go on a field trip with Danielle's preschool class to the fire station. I'm not sure I have ever done one but it was pretty exiting. Danielle told everyone about a million times about it and the night before she couldn't sleep because of her excitement.

Oh to be 5 again and try to fly with a broken umbrella.

We were a little late on the birthday date this year but she did get to go and she chose rollerskating and DQ. She was so sore from the 200+ falls she took that the next day she couldn't even walk but she still thought it was worth it.

Someone is not happy unless she gets herself right in the middle.
Danielle continues to be my fashionista. She loves anything girly and likes to wear it all to school. I usually let her wear them but sometimes we remove a few before she heads out the door.
Lexi had a day off of school and we headed to the park and it was fun seeing these two play together.

This my friends is why I don't like to buy school pictures but then again I enjoy the laugh so maybe it is worth it.
This girls loves the water and is fearless

We tested out the new Krispy Kream.

Memorial weekend we did some day camping and enjoyed the view.
