This sweet lil' lady just had her 5th birthday. Instead of a birth-day is was more like a birth-week. All week long she was getting presents in the mail and 2 parties. It was a full week but was all worth it for this sweet gal!
We let her open her card from G-ma Cindy a few days early. She was excited about the money and stickers, but the best part was the crown that punched out of the card.
On her actual birthday she got to take cupcakes to preschool, where she made a birthday crown. She came home with a huge smile on her face.
She got a special box in the mail from Aunt Mary and Uncle Rudy. Aunt Mary made her a hat and a purse. She also gave her some hair stuff and books that she loves!
Mom and Dad gave her a pet shop speaker that I loaded her favorite music on my old ipod. She loves music and is so excited to listen to it in her room.
Danielle is enjoying some of her new toys too.
The following day we had a friend party at our house. The theme of course was The Littlest Pet Shop. In total we had 10 little girls! It was fun but it was more difficult than I thought on how to keep them entertained for 2 hours.
All the girls loved the cupcake pinata. About halfway through Emery busted the top part and I couldn't hang it anymore for the last few girls, so we had to just smash it on the ground.
Lexi loved all her gifts. She got a ladybug pillow pet, lots of pet shops and some craft kits.
They enjoyed some freeze dance time
Ping Pong balloon time
The best event was the adoption time. I bought some pet shops online and set them up on Lexi's play houses. The girls walked around on the color squares and when their color was chosen they got to pick out a new pet to take home with them.
Next they got to decorate a house for their new pet. They also got a couple blankets and pillows for there pet's new home. They also got to name their pet. Danielle got a white cow so we named it milkshake.
This one is Lexi's new friend. She named him Crabby Patty, though I think it is a lobster.
Another favorite of the party is some moon bounce races. Here is a few classic pictures.I think this face says it all about what she thought of the party
On Sunday we had the family over for a waffle party. (Lexi's favorite food) I made some mint chocolate cupcakes which had some mint oreos in them. Oh my goodness, I am sure each one had about 1000 calories, but they were so good!
Lexi got the Ants in the Pants game, another craft kit and G-ma and G-ma Trevino made her her own set of wooden blocks. Every time she goes to their house that is the first thing she usually does is to dump the blocks and build a house or a train. She loves them and plays with them everyday.
My Lexi Lou I love you and I am so glad you came into our family 5 yrs ago!
