Like a lot of families, this momma is on the go a lot and I don't like to miss fun moments on camera. And thankfully my phone has a pretty good camera on it for those said moments. These shots are all from my phone over the last year.
One morning really early I heard Lexi come into my room. I was able to go back to sleep and when I woke up this is what I discovered. This is my craft area and she found a great little spot under the table.
The girls always love goggles
While looking for something at Goodwill we found this beauty. It is huge! Where is Lexi?
I made some curtains for my office doors so that when everyone walks in the door I can hide my mess.
Lexi didn't quite pass level 2 this last summer but I think this summer she will knock it out of the water.
We love Target and one day they didn't have any kid cups left or mediums either so this is what I little girls were drinking.
When my Mom came to visit us over a year ago, we got the girls some glasses and here they are modeling them.
We helped picked raspberries at G-ma and G-pa's house while they were gone on a trip. Lexi didn't want to go yet because her bowl wasn't full yet. Danielle on the other hand was smashing them in her bowl so most of hers did not make it home.
Johnny's cousin Angela and her fun family lived with us for about 7 weeks over the summer while their house was being build down the street from us. They have 2 boys Colten and Derrek. Derrek and Danielle are about 4 months apart and the actually got along pretty well. They loved teaching each other naughty things. Lexi loved Colten who was 9 at the time. She would follow him around like a puppy dog, (still does) but towards the end of their stay they started fighting like siblings, and they still do sometimes.
For my birthday I got a fire pit so we can roast some marshmallows! We used that thing like crazy and I am itching to pull it out again here soon.
Sidewalk chalk fun
We did make it to the fair last year. Johnny couldn't come and it was like a million degrees. Seriously though it was probably high 90's at 6pm. It was so hot but we still had some fun.
The girls have been wanting to help me clean more so I try to let them help but a lot of the time they end up fighting over the broom. Hopefully they was always want to help me, but I am not going to hold my breath.
I painted my bar stools.
Lexi got her first bee sting at preschool, she looks so sad!
Our first snowfall of the year (2011) didn't give us much but we did enjoy trying to catch some on our tongues.
Here are a few shots from Disneyland that didn't make the last post.
Danielle showing off her new big girl bed.
Girls have been playing beauty parlor a lot. I love seeing moments like this. I hope when they are teenagers they will still want to help do each others hair and makeup.Danielle doesn't like the car wash. This is actually what she did on the rides at Disneyland when she got scared. I just laugh every time, I know so mean.
The girls tie things together and hang them from the stairwell and make swings for the baby and Sunshine Bear.
I painted some curtains for my piano room. (it is more like a dining room but minus the dining room table)
Danielle's display with her friends.
My Mom and Grandma sent some money on Easter and Valentines day and here is their happiness!
I enlisted the girl's helping me with some spring cleaning.
I went on a field trip with Lexi's preschool to a gymnastics place. Lexi was in heaven.
Lexi's so excited to take cupcakes to preschool for her birthday.
Lexi got a DQ gift card for her birthday so she treated the family to some ice cream.
Sometimes I never know when Danielle will take a nap. Sometimes it is at 11 or around 3. This day is feel asleep in the car and then when I tried to get her out to do my weekly Target run, she was just too tired so she took a little nap in the cart while I stacked things around her. It was the best and quietest couponing trip ever, except the snoring.
It is not an uncommon sight to see G-pa Trevino with his toothbrush. The other night he left it on our pillars on our house and when Lexi saw it she was convinced the the tooth fairy left it there. She ran in the house to see what else she left us. While getting Danielle ready for bed that night I hear
Lexi "um mom"
Me "yes"
Lexi "come in the laundry room"
Me in my head thinking oh no did the washer flood or something because she was using her oh no something is wrong voice. Finally I say "what's wrong?"
Lexi "the tooth fairy hung up our coats on the door and washed our clothes." This she said very excitedly.
I wish the tooth fairy can come and do the laundry for me every week.
We took the girl's to feed the ducks. Danielle fell asleep in the car and wouldn't wake up so Lexi feed them everything. She didn't really love that they would get right up to her face. Honestly I don't blame her because I don't like them that close to me either.
Well that is a wrap for now. I hope you enjoyed all of my randomness.
