The Easter Bunny got our note

Whenever we get a chance, the girls and I try to play outside. We don't have a backyard yet, so we spend a lot of time out front on our driveway. We ride bikes, blow bubbles, and play with sidewalk chalk. Lexi wanted me to draw a bunny. So I drew a big peep looking bunny, and then next to it I wrote "Easter Bunny, please stop here!" I told Lexi we had to leave a note so he wouldn't miss us at our new house. She got very concerned because the sprinklers got it a little wet and washed some of it away. I assured her that it would be alright.

To start off the weekend, we of course colored some eggs.
Step 1: Draw with magic crayon

Step 2: Put eggs in colors
Step 3: Dig out egg with weird egg thing

Step 4: Place eggs back in carton and then proceed to blow so we can put all the stickers on them.

The Saturday afternoon before Easter Sunday, my friend and fabulous neighbor, Rebecca and her family threw a big egg hunt for our neighborhood. It was a blast, and it was nice to get to know a few of my neighbors.

For Danielle's first hunt, she knew exactly what to do.

Lexi was already a pro.

The hunt was held across the street from our house on the big grass field of the church. We headed to the tables when we were through and Rebecca had some yummy cupcakes and fun prizes for the kids.

Easter morning, I heard the girls screaming in delight to see their eggs outside. They couldn't get their shoes on quick enough to go and grab those eggs. The Easter Bunny had to hide them on the cement this year because Daddy fertilized the lawn the day before. :)

When we got back inside we found a special plastic egg that had a note inside. It was the first of 6 clues to go find their Easter baskets. Some of the clues took them to Lua's room, next to the fruit loop box, closests and then the final spot was the laundry room.

Lexi thought the Easter bunny was pretty silly to hide them there. Both girls loved their crowns and wands. Of course the PEZ is always a hit and the M&M's too.

We enjoyed a somewhat quiet morning and then headed to church. We got a few new pictures in our Easter Sunday best.

This year I decided to make myself a skirt, which happened to match the girls. Lexi and I decided that Daddy needed a new tie so he didn't feel left out.

We enjoyed the Trevino clan over for a yummy Kahlua pig dinner. Not your traditional Easter dinner, but I thought it was way better, and easier.

We got to enjoy the newest member of the Trevino family, Collin. Danielle was tickling his tummy. He loved it and was smiling and kicking in delight.

Thanks Easter Bunny for not forgetting Lexi and Danielle!
