A child's prayer

Lexi loves to say prayer. She has to say one at most meals and then of course bedtime and nap. If you forget to say one at nap time she freaks out.

Usually she repeats after one of us, but I decided to let her try one on her own. She did so well and didn't need any help at all. It made us feel good as parents that we are actually teaching her something. She never asks for anything, her whole prayer is thanks. Here are a few things she is thankful for:

* "Thank you for mommy to shop at Walmart" (I guess i can be thankful for this sometimes)
* "Thank you that daddy go to soccer ball" (I am thankful soccer is done)
* "Thank you for sunshine bear"
* "Thank you for Danielle and Lexi take a nap" (I am always very grateful for this)
* "Thank you for Lexi to go poopie in her diaper" (Just thankful it is not on the floor)
* "Thank you for Danielle to go poopie in her bumbo chair" (Um since Danielle had a blow out in her bumbo chair, I don't see anything to be grateful about here.)
* "Thank you to go to Jennie's shower" (which was about 3 weeks ago)
* "Thank you for Jesus" (amen there)

I have lost it a few times when she prays but I am so happy and proud of her for her desire to pray everyday.

Love it! Seriously so cute, I laughed at the "thank you for mommy shopping at Walmart". :)

Too cute. I like that she is thankful that Danielle pooped in her bumbo chair.

That's too funny and too cute. Kids say the funiest things, it's never boring being around them.
