While Daddy is away

Last week Johnny went on a 50 mile backpacking trip with the priests in our ward. So It was just Lexi and me all week long. We had a great time and got lots of thing done.
  • I felt great that my house got clean and there was one less person to mess it up.
  • I got Danielle's room more put together. Pictures to come when I am done.
  • Lexi and I played hard.

On one of the nights we went down to the river with a group of friends and got to play in the water. Here is my friend TyLeen and her son Talen riding the tubes.

TyLeen and EmmaLee
Drum roll please... and here is Lexi and me riding the tube with TyLeen. The guy who took the picture didn't realize it was on filming mode so it is an action shot. Though due to the sun you can't even tell it is us but I promise it is. Lexi didn't even care at all. She sat with TyLeen and pretty much just shut her eyes the whole time, probably because we were getting splashed quite a bit, but she never did cry. Looks like we have another tuber in the family!

Johnny was suppose to get home Friday night but due to some different reasons they all out voted him and wanted to come home Thursday. It was great for me because we got an extra day with him to go and play. He had a great time with everyone and when we get pictures I will have to have him post about it.

On Saturday we went to the water spray park and on the way I got Lexi and myself a Slurpee. There is no 7-11 close to me so I hardly get one until my friend told me that the gas station down the street from me has them. Oh boy is that going to be trouble! That is what I have been craving this pregnancy everyday, partly has to do with the 100 degree weather that we can't get rid of. So if you see my car at the gas station everyday you will know that I am not driving everywhere and need to fill up. We just need our Slurpee tank filled.

*Side note I always thought women who complained about being pregnant in the summer were just wimps but now I have a lot more of an understanding! It stinks being prego right now!

And another drum roll if you will...I passed my glucose test this week. I failed the first one so I had to go do this three hour long test which by the way, has ruined my taste for Mt Dew forever, and made me want to throw up but I didn't because I didn't want to drink that horrible stuff ever again. So yeah for me! I can still have my slurpees!

Yeah for Lexi not screaming on the tube, Ella does. I am glad you passed your glucose test so you can still have Slurpees.

That is so funny...I failed my first glucose tolerance test as well so I too had to go take the 3 hour test from hell. It was horrible---they made me fast so I almost passed out twice when they took my blood. I hope I never have to do that again! Yeah, I've decided our next baby I'm going to have in the Spring. Summer is definitely NOT my favorite time to be preggy either.

I'm so glad you passed your glucose test, that is a relief off your mind I bet. The stuff you have to drink is so nasty, I feel for you! You ladies are brave tubing out there, I'm not that fond of the river after some of the huge fish I've seen living there. My brothers used to tell me that the big sturgeon would come nibble on my toes. HA! Bet that water felt great though.

So the important question to answer is: Which gas station has the slurpees?!?

Sorry the camera man wasn't better. He does good at the driving part, but I am usually the one that snaps the pictures. It was fun for you guys at least. Now you know what Lexi can do. Enjoy your Slurpees while the summer sun is still around.
