Summer events

We have definitely have been staying busy, trying to get as much fun in as we can this summer. We attended the stake picnic a few weeks ago where they had ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, and bounce houses. Can you guess where I spent my whole evening? I couldn't get her out of those houses and you better believe that this fatty is not climbing up in there to get her.
Here is an action shot. I have a video but unfortunately I took it sideways so I decided not to post that one.
Lexi enjoyed her ice cream
We also got a chance finally to get Lexi into swim lessons. So we have worked on our tans and our swimming for the last few weeks.

Here is Lexi preparing for her class.
The glasses really helped when she was doing the back float.
She finally learned how to blow bubbles and would always show me how she can do it. She was so proud of herself!
Her favorite part was jumping. I don't know if that was because she knew that class was over and she could now swim in the baby pool, or if she just thought that was fun. I am going to stick with the baby pool theory. She had a rough start with lessons but by a few days there was no more crying and she got excited to go swimming with her teacher.

This last weekend we went on our ward camp out. It was a great little spot that the church owns out in some farming crops. It was a big grassy area and some tall trees which was great. Lexi had a blast and got totally worn out.
One of the kids favorite things were these handcarts they had. They had tons of them and the kids had a blast riding together. My friend McKenzie was a great mom and took them for lots of rides. She doesn't know I got her in this picture but I got her despite her wishes of not wanting me to! he he
These are the kids Lexi spends most of her time with. Ella, Kate and Calvin.

The adults had a great time too and we didn't go to bed til about 1am. We all were feeling it in the morning. Lexi was asleep the instant we got in the car and was drooling and snoring the whole way back home. I took about a 2 hour nap when we got home too, but was still so exhausted. I say it was still worth the lack of sleep.

I also got a haircut this week which I love but this isn't a great picture, I will have to post a better one later. Also I am almost 34 weeks and feeling so. I have had so many people tell me I am so small but honestly how can you say this looks small? Maybe it is the shirt but man I look huge! But thanks for all who say I look small because I sure don't feel that way!
I am not quite nesting fully yet. At least not the part where you are cleaning the window tracks with a q-tip, because you know that is so important to get done before the baby!
Her clothes have been washed for awhile and I am getting our stuff put together for the hospital. I just need to hang things on her wall and we are done. I am ready now to hold her and to have a newborn around again. For awhile I was feeling not ready for that stage yet, but since a couple of my friends have had their babies it has really made me want her out sooner. So cross your fingers that it is only 5 more weeks. I won't hold my breathe but a girl can dream right?

I'm so glad you told us that you got your haircut. I kept staring at you in RS while I was conducting. I couldn't figure out if it was a cut, or if you had done it differently. It is sooooooo cute.

Hi Julie. You contacted me a while back about doing some pictures for you next time I am in town. i am planning a trip Sept 11-20 and am trying to confirm how many appts I have. I just wanted to see if you were still interested in me doing pictures of your daughter. I see that you are pregnant. Congrats! If you decide to have me do a family session or a session with your daughter I would be willing to do a maternity session free to build my portfolio!

You look wonderful. It is kinda nice having people say you are small, but at the same time I'm like...WELL I FEEL HUGE! I'm getting so excited to hold my little one too. Can't wait to see pictures of your little sweetie.

Lexi is such a doll! I love her happy little face in all of these pictures. I'm glad you guys had so much fun at the campout. I can understand you being so tired afterwards. You are looking great too, hope the next few weeks are not too hard on you.

I think it's better for people to tell you you're small than the alternative. By 18 weeks people are saying things like "any time now!" to me.
