Last Friday our Relief Society had a mother daughter retreat at Camp Zarahemla. I did not group up around here so it was exciting to me to go to a new place and camp. Lexi and I had a lot of fun once we made it up there. We were about five minutes from the camp and Lexi completely threw up everywhere. I felt so bad because we weren't even in our car, but it aired out overnight and the ride home wasn't so bad, but she only had one outfit to last her, so I was praying she didn't get wet or have any more accidents.

This was some stairs that we were sitting on to watch all the women canoe. I thought I would sit this out this time because, a prego woman does not equal balance. I truly enjoyed watching my friends go out.

These are Lexi's new friends Hannah and Maddie. The girls loved the bunk beds and it was everything I could do to keep Lexi from climbing them.

It rained on us up there so we had no campfire but instead we had smores in the lodge and here is Lexi enjoying a uncooked one.

The camp had a little play area and Lexi of course liked climbing up here.

I just love this picture of Lexi doing one of her favorite things, swinging.

Here is some of the RS woman playing a game. Once again I opted out due to balance issues.

This was the view from my cabin. I love how green the water looks.
We got back on Saturday and then Monday I was off to girls camp. I got asked to go last December and I have been preparing to go for quite a few months. I was called to help with service at camp as a stake staff. I was excited for the opportunity but nervous because I never have worked with any of the girls in our ward let alone anyone else. I didn't really know too many people going either, but I made some really good friends and enjoyed the girls tons.

One of the building activities was to get everyone over this wall without talking. There was a latter and only three people got to use it and of course I got to use it.

One of our service projects was to make hats with looms for the cancer center. This is one of the groups working on them. I think by the end of the week we came out with close to 60 hats done. Some were baby hats which will be donated somewhere in the community also. What a blessing that some cancer patient will be able to enjoy a warm hat made by loving hands.

The other project was painting some barnyard sets. These sets will be sent to Salt Lake City which then the church will send where there is a need, whether it is a third world country or a place that was just hit with a natural disaster.

On Wed we had a special lunch that had a 1950 theme. We had Elvis music and had a hula hoop contest. I was a little pessimistic that I would be able to do it but I think the belly gave me a little bit of an advantage. I didn't win but I think I was close to the top!

Here is some of the priesthood leaders. Bro Farrell is on the left. He is the Grandpa in nursery and Lexi absolutely loves him. He was so funny all of camp and was a great help to the cooks.

This is our ward's skit, which they were doing Twilight. They were hilarious and in my opinion where the best ones.
I was so grateful for the opportunity to go to camp. The food was great and I gained at least 3 pounds at camp. (this is not a lie either). I was never hungry, if anything I had to force myself to eat.
I loved getting to know some of the girls better and other woman in our stake. I made a few good friends that I would love to see all the time.
My favorite part was to see girls be touched by the spirit. Sometimes you wonder if anyone ever gets anything out of what you are doing and if you are just wasting your time. I got to see on a few occasions girls that I know were affected by what we were doing. I hope that they can remember that moment and carry it with them.
Lexi and Daddy did great while I was gone. I sure missed them a lot. I cried on Monday morning when I had to leave, while Lexi was saying "bye bye Momma." I have some great friends and an awesome Mother in law who watched her for us while Johnny was at work. It sounds like she was well occupied and taken care of, so thank you to those who helped.
Now I am home and busy trying to get unpacked and repacked to go to Reno. There we will spend time with my family and then go camping for the 4Th of July. I know camping again! What am I thinking? I am looking forward to the trip and being able to spend a lot of family time together, and to camp where I grew up. I haven't been there for about 7 years and I miss it dearly.

You have been busy with all this camping. Girls Camp is always so fun, and I'm so sad I couldn't go this year. The skit was hilarious, and I hope someone recorded it for us to see again. Isn't it neat to see the results of your hard work paying off. How neat to know that those girls were touched with the service project that you did. The Mother/Daughter Retreat was so fun. I'm glad that you brought Lexi.
I think it is neat that you got to go to Girls Camp and be the service person. You are so good at that anyways. You are a great choice to teach the Stake Young Women about service. I hope they all caught your service oriented attitude. I am glad you had fun too.
It looks like you had so much fun at the retreat and girls camp. I am sad that I wasn't able to go to the retreat. Have fun in Reno! We'll have to start hanging out again when you get back.
Sounds like you've had so much fun! I'm impressed- you camping prego woman you! Love the hoola belly.
I'm glad you had such a good time at camp. I bet all of the girls liked spending time where you were at. I showed Morgan these pictures of Lexi and he just started smiling and pointing at his little friend.
Im glad that you are having such a good summer. It sounds like you are staying plenty busy. I can't believe that with all you did you were able to also help at my shower. You are amazing. Thanks for being there and for everything you did. I hope you have fun for the fourth.
You are a better woman than I am! I told Toby I'm done camping until our youngest (that's about 2 kids away from now) is 3. Too much work for me!
