Labor Day 2008

We survived the weekend at Mt Rainer. We had a great time with our family and some other close friends. It was super cold...too cold for me. I hung out by the fire basically the whole time. I even begged Johnny to go on a hike so that I could go in the car for a little bit, then hike to warm up and it worked well. The following are some pictures of our hike to Silver Falls.I just loved this picture of Johnny. Lexi loved riding on his shoulders and every once in awhile she would pull on his ears just like reins on a horse. Notice that I couldn't get her to look at the camera. This was close to the top of the waterfall. I love the color of the water up there, it is so blue and greenish. I haven't seen anything like it!

This picture is for those who have never visited this area. It is so green and mossy. I love it but I am a desert girl which means I don't like a lot of rain, so I will stick to just visiting these areasBad posture...this girl has got that going on. She kept doing it and it would drive me crazy because would get stuck, but she never learned! By the way this high chair is a great investment. I bought it at Target (the best store ever) for about 23 bucks. It completely comes apart and can be put in the dishwasher! And I can take it anywhere with me! LOVE IT!!!
Some of the kids we were camping with had some razors so Lexi got a little ride by grandma.

I went to the craft store before we left to look for some craft things that the girls to do. (Lexi and he cousin Emery) I found these crown for 50 cents. It was prefect and it kept them busy for 20 minutes. I love cheap entertainment!
This cracked me up. Emery and Lexi kept going right up to this tree and saying "hello tree" and just laugh at each other! It never got old to them.
Lexi had a great time with her cousin. It is so fun to see them finally want to play with each other. They were right by each others side the whole time. I am so glad that she has a cousin so close in age. I have two cousins that were like that and we have been best friends since the day we were born! Isn't family just so much fun?

Well that is about it for our trip. We came home on Sunday night because Lexi had a rough night and we did not want to do that again. I was excited to leave early because I had no more clothes to put on to keep warm. Unfortunely this year we didn't get to see a lot of the other things we normally do, but it was nice just to enjoy the beauty that we were surrounded by. The girls loved be able to run anywhere they want and get dirty!

Lexi is getting so big! How do you write and then have a picture and write again. Is there something special I have to do? I can't figure it out, can you help? Just send me an email if you know what I have to do. Love you!

I wondered if you guys were camping over Labor Day weekend. How fun to get away, but not fun to be cold. I hate that. Looks like it was fun for Lexi. Love the picture of Johnny carrying her on his shoulders.
