As usual our Reno trip came and went before we knew it. We has such a good time and got to see the family as much as possible. We stayed with Mom this trip in her new house. The girls loved playing with her dog Domino, and gave her lots of exercise by throwing the toys for her.
We brought a little gift for Uncle Bobby that we found on our coast trip. It actually fit....well sort of.
On Monday night we were going to have a picnic at the park but we got rained out so luckily we had keys to the church and we moved it there. We got to see everyone who lives in Reno. It was such a blast and they boys and kids played some indoor soccer. Brett and Luke were not happy that no one was sharing with them.
We enjoyed playing with our cousins Hannah, Emily and Joseph at there new house and doing some mini golf. And I have to let you all know that I beat everyone at golf and I didn't even cheat. Candy and Mom are my witnesses even though Johnny still doesn't believe me.
We visited the children's museum downtown with Mary, Rudy and Grandma Cindy. We watched as the guy extracted DNA from a strawberry. Very cool by the way. We built buildings that could live through an earthquake, walked through the starry night room and pretended to camp in the Nevada desert.
The girls favorite area was the boat racing area.
This was a 3 ft high structure that looks like clouds. It was huge. Danielle made it up about 7 feet before she was done. I tried to climb up but didn't get even halfway because it was such a maze and tight spaces. Lexi almost made it to the top but got a little nervous and stopped. She was about 2 stories high.
There was an area that was about Nevada history. My favorite thing was this balloon structure. It represents many things Nevada is famous for. For me this means home.
Ha ha caught Danielle in the act.
Danielle was so intrigued with the pinwheels that float to the ceiling and come back down.
Can you find her? She finally made it to the top.
We enjoyed an evening with Grandma Horsley and the girls got soaked in the back yard just like I used to do.
And no Reno summer trip is complete without a day at Tahoe. We enjoyed the day with lots of the family.
Jen and her boys joined us.
My bestie from college Leah and her family joined us too. They live in Sacramento and were so nice to meet up with us. We haven't seen each other in 8 years, 8 years too long.
And a little rainbow to end the day. We had a wonderful time visiting everyone and eating way too much good food. Love you all and thanks for visiting with us. (Steph why do we never take pics????) I didn't forget seeing you guys too. :)
