Lexi Lou!

My Lovely Lexi is almost 6 1/2 years old I can't even believe it.  Before I know it she will be eight and getting baptized.  I better not get too far ahead of myself yet.

Lexi is in love with Legos.  I love seeing her imagination grow.  This is a masterpiece that she made this summer.  It is one of her favorite restaurants, Wing Stop.  I am impressed with all the details.  She made a picnic table, kitchen with chicken in the pan, an oven, a counter with a cash register and  a line of customers with money in hand.  I was most impressed with the soda fountain machine, which had a cup that fit perfectly in the hole to dispense some soda. The only things that gives me a little concern is the horse, I hope she has never seen one in Wing Stop.

She started first grade this year and has Ms. Moss and a student teacher named Ms. Lam.  She has 2 friends in her class which has really helped her socially. She still loves school and is making lots of new friends.  I have seen her blossom tons this year already.  Her reading has tripled, confidence also has shot through the roof.  We have been working hard on saying hello to friends when they say hi to her and saying thank you when someone gives her a compliment rather then ignoring them.

 She still makes me laugh
She is becoming very thoughtful. She makes me pictures and cards all the time.  This was my birthday card with a surprise.  The surprise was that she took the money back.  Ha!
She loves swimming and playing in the water of any kind.  She did well in swim lessons this year and I think she would stay in the water all day if she could.
Lexi is my social bug.  She is always asking to have friends over to play and loves playing outside.

She is been rocking it in soccer this season.  There has been multiple games this year where she has scored 5 goals.  She may be the smallest of the field but she is a force to be reckoned with for sure.  Every once in awhile we will overhear parents talking about how good that little girl is.  It makes Johnny beam with pride every time.

Lexi is racking up the money from the tooth fairy.  In a few months she has lost her bottom teeth and both her top.  One of her top teeth was super loose for awhile and was driving me bonkers and on the first day of school during breakfast she pulled it out.  Then about 4 weeks later she lost the other one at school during lunch.  The tooth fairy had to go digging for it in the garbage at the school for that one because it got lost on the floor.  So we left a note for her to let her know where to find it.

And a funny from Lexi while she was playing with her pet shops and she said,  "oh this one is so adorable.....I will call her lover"

I love my little Lex and am amazed everyday how grown up she is getting.
