Lexi update

So I have been neglecting the blog once again, but I do have a very BIG reason, but you will have to wait to hear about what that is. (no I am not pregnant...at least I hope not!)

I have been watching Lexi and thinking about how much she has changed over the summer. So this post is dedicated to her.

  • Lexi still loves to watch movies, and could probably watch tv all day long if I allowed her to.
  • She loves me to tickle her belly
  • Still loves Sunshine Bear, though he stays home more and more
  • She loves to be silly and play outside
  • She is finally potty trained (except bedtime) Yeah for me!
  • She plays well with Danielle, as long as she is not touching anything in Lexi's room.
  • She have gotten taller and leaner, if that is possible. About a month ago I had to pull out her 2T stuff out again because her shorts that fit ok in the beginning of the summer, now fall to her ankles when she runs. Maybe I won't have to buy her any clothes for a whole year.
  • Lexi hates her hair up. We are growing out her bangs so I just clip them back and let her wear it down most days. As soon as we get in the car seat to come back home, that clip is out. She also hates to wear dresses.
  • Lexi is still really shy. She has been in nursery for almost 2 yrs and still doesn't talk to her teachers. We ran into one at Walmart yesterday and she totally hid her face and wouldn't even look at her. It made me so sad that she doesn't warm up to people very easily. We have also learned that if you let her come to you it is much better. If someone else asks her to do something or even say hi, she will kind of shut down. It is so hard for me because I want her to be polite and not afraid to talk to adults, at least our good friends and teachers. I know she will grow out of it someday.
  • She has started going to joy school once a week, and loves it. (so does mommy)
  • She was once a sleep in girl but now she is usually up at the latest 7:30, but that might be due to little miss next door who is very noisy when she gets up. But Lexi will still take a few afternoon naps a week. (trust me she still needs them and you will know when she hasn't had one in a few days)

I love this girl and love that I get to have her be a part of my life~!
