Seaside Oregon Trip
We just got back from an awesome trip to Seaside Oregon with the Trevino family. The first part of the week was just my family and John and Debbi. The rest of the crew joined us for the later part of the week .
I took loads of pictures this week so be warned that there are A LOT of pictures on this post.

Danielle's first ride on a carousal.
Grandpa giving Lexi a ride in Costco.
Lexi with one of her many treats Grandma bought her.
I love this picture! Our best one yet as a family!
The girls were rolling on the watermelon with their bellies.
This was the night view from our room. We had a great room. We were on the 2ND floor, and right on the end where the beach was, plus our view was awesome too.
This is Lexi looking at the guy making taffy inside, but instead I got Danielle in the background in the reflection of the window. Kinda funny.
This is how we all felt after we indulged in some yummy seafood at Moe's in Cannon Beach.
Dessert...both of their reactions to pop rocks were hilarious. Lexi didn't want anymore and Danielle was loving it. I was dying of laughter hearing them pop inside her mouth.

Haystack Rock. It was really cold there and windy. We were checking out the tide pools but didn't see much.

The hat store is always good for a few laughs.

I wish I would have bought this one but I know that Danielle wouldn't wear it.
We hit up the aquarium one day.
We fed the seals. They would slap the water with their fins to get a treat. Then one of them would poke his head out of the water and clap his fins which soaked all of us. Lexi was not happy about that part.

We went to Astoria, Oregon and climbed the column there.

If you look real hard you can see Grandpa and Lexi way up there.
Us at the top. (excuse the bad hair day!)
I climbed down with Danielle so I could get a shot of them at the top. That is us on the grass...yeah that little white spot is me.

Yeah total tourists, but who could resist a picture in front of the house of one of the best movies ever made?

We loved running away from the waves at low tide.

Daddy was great at building sandcastles with Lexi. I helped a little one day, but to be honest, sand is just not my thing.

The girls went horseback riding. This is me on Gordita. Which means "pretty little fat girl" in Spanish. Suits her doesn't it? She was big, and remember that I am short so my legs were pretty much are as far apart as possible.
I love this picture of Kristen.
It was well worth the money. Most horse rides means your riding on a trail, but not this one. We rode down to the beach and we got to trot down the beach. It was awesome! I have only riden a horse a few times, so I was a little scared but it was such a rush when I made it back without falling off!
Lexi even got a ride too. This is Dancer. I got to lead her around the pasture for basically as long as I wanted. Lexi loved it and didn't want to get off. Dancer was a little stubborn sometimes. I am trying to pull him along, but we shortly became aware that he need to take a little, or should I say big potty break.

That looks like lots of fun. We'll have to go to Seaside next time. But we had fun in Lincoln City too.
Looks like you had a fun time. Boo on the weather (I always remember it being that way when we used to go when I was young). And I agree that is a wonderful pic of you guys together!!
Man, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I am totally jealous that you got to see the house from Goonies, love that movie.
Sorry, I haven't called you yet. It seriously has been crazy.
Love, love, love the coast. It never gets old, especially when you can escape the heat of the hot summer and actually enjoy the cooler weather there. The name of your horse cracked me up!
I love the coast too! We grew up going there and I don't think I've been as an adult. Looks like you had a great trip!! :D
