O.A.R

So for Christmas I got Johnny some concert tickets to go see O.A.R in Spokane. He would mention the concert to me and I would totally just change the subject, so I was glad he was excited Christmas morning when I told him we were going to the concert he kept talking about. We went with our friends Jamie and Cameron who are huge fans! They were probably the only ones wearing their shirts and had a sign.
The opening act was a guy by the name of Eric Hutchinson. He was pretty good and had a good sense of humor. Not my favorite type of music but it was fun anyways.Below is O.A.R. They were awesome. Johnny said it was one of the better concerts he has been too. He has seen them before in a small group in Utah and Maroon 5 opened up for them and look at those guys now! The place was not too big and we stood up close the whole time. I know you can't really see the guys but I loved the saxophone player, he was so amazing. Since I played a little a long time ago, I understand how hard it is to hold the notes he was holding for so long. The other thing I love about this band is that they are all clean cut normal looking guys. Just your jeans and a t-shirt kinda guys. One guys even had on a guns and roses shirt!

So I must be getting old or something but I must say that my patience for teenagers and college students have run low. We just about got into a fight with a few of them. So me being 5ft 2 inches doesn't allow for alot of seeing action. So we were totally fine for awhile til these 6ft plus guys decided to come stand right in front of me. There was also another girl who was shorter than me right next to me and we just looked at each other and said you got to be kidding me? Since they kept turning around and staring at us, I decided they weren't going to move, I asked one of them if they would mind if they could move behind us so we could see also. After some inapporiate comments he made I decided to ignore him...then the music started and if you don't know O.A.R music, well they are a good mix of Dave Matthews Band, Bob Marley and Sublime. And if you don't know any of those people then lets just say that is not moshing music. So the rude dude decided he was going to mosh in front of us. I am all for jumping and dancing but not pushing people over like them. I guess I am biased because I had enough elbows to the face to last me awhile. So after a few shoves and other things I decided that I had enough and grabbed him with both hands and pinched him while at the same time Johnny and another big guy next to us who also had enough, pushed him. Let's just say after that security came over and told the guy to calm down so after that it was way more enjoyable. The whole time I just kept saying in my head "what would Jesus do, what would Jesus do?" How sad is that? I was letting this dumb guy bother me that much!
The best part is after the "almost fight" I stood behind Johnny and the guy next to me asked if he was my boyfriend and I was like "no he is my husband" and the guy said "even better" It was great!

All in all is we had a great time and a funny story to tell. I am glad that I have a husband who is built like a bouncer because no one wanted to throw a punch at him! :)

If you ever have a chance go see O.A.R do it. They have good music and clean too which is a huge added bonus!

When you were talking about this concert the other night I didn't realize that I have listened to their music. Good stuff. That's awesome that you guys got to go have a night at a concert - even if you had to deal with some stupid and rude people. Don't mess with the Trevino's!

Oh, and I like Eric Hutchinson too. I used to have his song "Ok,Is Alright With Me" on my playlist. Fun times!

Looks like you guys had a great time. I can just hear your voice when you said, "Actually he's my husband." You probably waved your finger a little too. I can see it in my mind and it's hilarious. Glad you guys had fun!

When you first told me you almost got in a fight I thought you meant you and johnny. That is pretty funny though, way to go. I hate stupid people, especially when they are high school age.
