Turkey Time

Thanksgiving is probably one of my most favorite holidays! I love all the yummy food but just hanging out with the family. We hosted it this year because Johnny wanted to smoke a turkey, but we also we decided to make a back up turkey just in case. Plus who doesn't love leftover turkey?  Lexi had been an amazing little helper lately.  The night before I had everyone help clean the house better and once I thought we were good enough she wanted to keep going. I had to make up little jobs for her til I was tired of thinking about it so I forced her to go play.  She helped me baste the turkey, make pumpkin pie and the sweet potato dish.  And she even did the dished in between.  Rock star I tell ya! 

Johnny's turkey turned out amazing! It was a favorite for sure. All the rest of the food was great too but the turkey was the best hands down.

We had only 10 of us all together this year but it was so fun.   Everyone got along well and we got some games played and of course the boys made us all laugh with their craziness. Good times were had by all.
