Advent activities

This year I was trying hard to make December fun and spend more quality time with the girls. So each day they got to open a little box that had something fun to do in it. I didn't take any pictures except our building of our gingerbread house village. We got our new camera in the mail that day so Daddy was playing with the camera and taking tons of pictures of us.

Some of the other fun activities included:

• Taking doughnuts and chocolate milk to the Bishopric after our tithing settlement


• Get hot cocoa and go look at Christmas lights


• Go to McDonald's with some friends


• Make ornaments


• Make reindeers from candy canes


• Make cookies


• Make paper snowflakes


• Open a new pair of jammies on Christmas Eve

It was so fun and the girl's LOVED it.

One more tradition I started this year was each night they got to open a new Christmas book that I had wrapped and placed under the tree. It was a good way for them to have something to open and more time together reading. I think this was my favorite thing to do with them and I look forward to doing it again next year.
