My Valentines Day

I love love love that Lexi is growing up and becoming a good big sister. She loves to try and help me when Danielle is upset. While I am in the shower she will help make her happy by squeezing one of the really annoying stuffed animals, that plays only one song, but it gets me through the shower with minimal screaming. She is always looking out for her and making sure her mobile is running when she is in the swing, and she will randomly go and laugh at her, which then Danielle will squeal back in delight.
I just wanted to share a little glimpse of what goes on at my house now-a-days. You get this...
or this....

Lexi decided that Danielle needed to dress up too. If you look real close you can see Danielle's eye looking through a hole.
That's much better sis
Ta DA!!! The princess for the day..or everyday she seems to believe!
And because today is the day of love I thought I would share with we did to celebrate.

Our Valentines was fabulous this year. Usually we don't do too much but go out to eat within the week of Valentines and call it good. This year Johnny came home on Friday with some beautiful red roses. (no picture sorry) I always tease him because he doesn't buy flowers very often. I think in our 6 years of dating and marriage I can count on one hand how many times he bought me flowers. The reason is partially my fault because when we first we dating I told him I rather he took me out and spend time with me then buy me flowers. So he took that literally and no flowers until one day I spoke up and gave him a hard time about it. So he now is aware that I do like flowers every once in awhile. But I still say I rather he take me out, than buy me expensive flowers. (keep that on the down low though!) Saturday we got to go to my favorite Indian place for lunch and later we met up with my good friends Betsy and Dave and we watched Avatar in 3D. We came home, the girls went to bed early, and we enjoyed the rest of the evening in peace. On Sunday we cooked some lobster tails, steak and some Cajun fries. Pretty yummy I must say. I have never cooked lobster so hopefully my head in not in the toilet tonight!

It is hard for me to believe that Johnny and I met 6 years ago on Friday February 13, and now we are happily married and have two beautiful daughters. (story of how we meet to come on another blog post so stay tuned...)
Happy Valentine's Day to one and all!

I'm impressed that you cooked lobster. I wouldn't even know how to start with that? That's cool that you guys saw Avatar. Sounds like a fun weekend. Happy Anniversary too!

I'm with you on the flowers. It's nice to get them every once in a while, but I'd rather they spend the money on something else. Glad you had such a good day!
