We must have been good!

Our family had a wonderful Christmas this year. This year we decided to stay home for Christmas. A tradition in my family is on Christmas eve we go to my Grandma's house and have a nice dinner and do a gift exchange. This is my favorite part of Christmas but since we can't always go to Reno, I kinda started the same thing in the Trevino family but we have pizza for dinner instead which is fun and easy.
Last year Lexi was so little that she didn't really open anything but this year she just knew exactly what to do. This was her first present she got to open.

I thought this was a fun picture of us. Johnny and I were snuggling on the floor and Lexi just had to join in. This is Lexi's cousin Emery. She is 6 months older and they play really well together which is such a relief for us. They chase each other around the house and love to laugh together and have their little conversations which no ones understands.

This year Johnny made a request for my cinnamon rolls. So that is what you can see on Lexi's face in all of the pictures. I must admit they are really yummy!

This is the special gift Emery picked out for Lexi at the thrift store. Isn't she a beauty? (That just might make it back to the thrift store! Sorry Em)Having kids just makes Christmas so much more fun! I couldn't wait for Lexi to come out on Christmas morning to this little arrangement

So we did video it but Lexi walks out of her room and stopped when she saw the table. Very seriously she looked back and forth between us wondering what the heck? Finally with a little encouragement she started to play with the silverware and then it was all over. She didn't even notice the other toys under the tree or anything for awhile.

I think Lexi's pjs rings true. It reads "I love Santa." Santa definately scored points from Lexi with the table, Care Bears, and shopping cart. Another thing she loved was the cookie baking set from Aunt Candy and family! Thanks!!! Her favorite part is the spatula!
I think Grandma's always do the best. Lexi loved all of her gifts from her grandmas and grandpas too.
This is Lexi's ornament the her Grandma Horsley hand makes. She does one for all the grand kids til they are 18. I loved it when I was a little girl and then when I got married I had a good little amount of my own ornaments.
Santa also spoiled Johnny with some clothes and me with some new scrapbooking stuff. I was so excited because I suprised Johnny with some concert tickets. He was telling me about it and I kinda gave him the "I don't think so look" so he didn't ask any more about it. It was a great suprise. We will be going with another couple and it will be a great night out without the kids! That was just an added bonus!
This is us ready to go to Johnny's parent's house for a nice Christmas dunch. (lunch/dinner)

We enjoyed playing Grandpa's new Wii system and playing games with family! We look forward to some more fun on New Years.

This is such a wonderful time of year and we are so grateful for the true meaning of Christmas. The best gift we have ever recieved, our Savior Jesus Christ.

What a neat surprise to get concert tickets for Johnny. What concert are you going to?? It's not LeAnn Rimes at the Toyota Center is it?? Haha!! :)
